Will it still work if I ride a motorcycle?
How long does setup take and what’s involved?
Will this use up my data or battery?
The app has been designed to minimise data and battery usage. It only tracks journeys while you’re moving and runs quietly in the background.
Do I need to drive every day to win?
No. You can take part at your own pace. Every safe trip helps you collect rewards and earn entries into draws. The more you drive safely, the more chances you have to win, but even occasional drivers can benefit.
What happens if I make a mistake in a trip, like forgetting to tag myself as Driver?
How can I earn rewards?
After a trip has been recorded and you’ve claimed it as “Driver,” a screen will pop up displaying your score. If the tile is green and shows a safe score on your trip, you will be eligible to click on the ‘Collect Rewards’ button. You will then see a display showing your XP earned, number of draw entries, and the number of pins eligible for you to claim.
How is my driving score calculated?
Your score is calculated using our advanced telematics software which monitors your score in the following areas. These factors are used together to make up your overall driving score out of 100 possible points.
Acceleration: Measures your tendency to accelerate hard relative to other drivers.
Brake: Measures your tendency to brake hard relative to other drivers.
Cornering: Measures your tendency to turn rapidly around corners or turns.
Steadiness: Measures harsh or frequent speed changes.
Swerve: Measures harsh or frequent direction or lane changes.
Phone: Measures how much you are moving your phone around while driving, including picking it up or fiddling around with it.
Speed: Measures speeding infractions.
Eco: Measures how your driving behaviour affects fuel economy. A higher eco score means higher fuel savings.
Focus: Measures your reaction to driving situations by analysing how much attention you are paying while driving. More focus means less distracted driving.
Handling: Measures your voluntary driving choices by analysing how smoothly and calmly you handle the vehicle. Better handling means less aggressive driving.

Rewards Programme
To participate in the Programme you must be aged 17 or over, hold a valid UK full or provisional driving licence, have internet access, have a Safe Roads Challenge UK account, use the app and/or associated services, and be a legal resident of the United Kingdom. The Program provides eligible Safe Roads Challenge account holders with the opportunity to earn Points in the form of “Pins” or “XP” as well as contest (“Draws”) entries by participating in various activities. You can redeem your Points from time to time for various “Rewards”. Contests
To participate in the Contests (“Draws”) you must be aged 17 or over, hold a valid UK full or provisional driving licence, have internet access, have a Safe Roads Challenge UK account, use the app and/or associated services and be a legal resident of the United Kingdom. Winners will be notified by email, SMS or through the app’s inbox within two business days of the Prize Draw Period ending and receive a gift card of their choice from the Safe Roads Challenge UK online redemption site. The following draws are available for all users who subscribe to the Safe Roads Challenge UK app:
- Daily Trivia Master: Earn one entry by answering 5 out of 5 questions correctly per day. One winner will be randomly selected to receive a £10 Gift Card from all valid participant entries received during the Prize Draw Period.
- Weekly Food, Drive and Shop Zones: Earn one entry for each Zone Pin collected and claimed as ‘Driver Verified’ in a week (Monday to Sunday inclusive). Two winners will be randomly selected to each receive a £25 Gift Card from all valid participant entries received during the Prize Draw Period.
- Weekly Mission Possible: Earn one entry by completing three challenges in a week (Monday to Sunday inclusive). One winner will be randomly selected to receive a £50 Gift Card from all valid participant entries received during the Prize Draw Period.
- Weekly Eco Draw: Earn one entry for each passenger trip submitted per week (Monday to Sunday inclusive). Two winners will be randomly selected to each receive a £25 Gift Card from all valid participant entries received during the Prize Draw Period.

£250K Cash Prize Game
To participate in the Cash Prize Game you must be aged 17 or over, hold a valid UK full or provisional driving licence, have internet access, have a Safe Roads Challenge UK account, use the app and/or associated services and be a legal resident of the United Kingdom. Earn one entry per day by scoring a daily average of 70 or more (out of 100) via the Safe Roads Challenge mobile app. The closing date for entries is 11.59pm on 28th February 2026. The draw will take place on 5th March 2026. Entrants are not required to have a live Safe Roads Challenge subscription at the time of the draw. The selected game player will be notified by email or telephone within 3 working days of the draw. The prize is awarded via up to two random choice games, as follows:
- Game 1: 100 envelopes, containing 80 x £1,000, 15 x £5,000, 4 x £20,000, 1 x £50,000.
- Game 2: 99 envelopes, containing 98 x £0, 1 x £250,000.
The game player will be asked to ‘stick’ or ‘twist’ at the end of Game 1. If the player ‘Sticks’ they win the amount in the selected envelope. If the play ‘Twists’, they forfeit the amount from Game 1 and win the amount in the selected envelope from Game 2.
